Jungle

Jungle is the second expansion released for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and followed shortly after the success of the original Base Set. The set expanded the Pokémon universe within the TCG by introducing many new Pokémon that had not appeared in the Base Set.

The expansion focuses on Pokémon commonly found in forest and jungle environments, which inspired the name of the set. It introduced several fan-favourite Pokémon including Snorlax, Eevee and its evolutions Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon, all of which became highly popular among collectors.

Jungle also introduced one of the most memorable Pokémon cards of the early era: Snorlax Holo 11/64, which quickly became a favourite due to its powerful defensive ability and recognisable artwork.

The set continued the early Pokémon TCG format with holographic rare cards, which were the most exciting pulls from booster packs. Many of the holographic cards in Jungle remain highly collectible today, particularly the Eeveelution cards.

Jungle also introduced two different card artwork variations for certain non-holo cards, which created additional collecting challenges for enthusiasts attempting to complete the full set.

As one of the earliest Pokémon TCG expansions, Jungle played a major role in expanding the Pokémon card universe and remains an important set in the history of the game.
