Cosmic Eclipse

Cosmic Eclipse is the twelfth and final main expansion in the Sun & Moon era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is one of the largest Pokémon TCG sets ever released and serves as a grand finale for the Sun & Moon generation.

The set features a wide range of legendary and fan-favourite Pokémon, including Solgaleo, Lunala, Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram, Zekrom and Blastoise. The expansion also heavily highlights the Tag Team GX mechanic, which allows two Pokémon to appear together on a single powerful card.

Tag Team Pokémon-GX cards feature extremely high HP and powerful attacks, but when they are Knocked Out the opponent takes three Prize cards, making them high-risk, high-reward cards in competitive play.

Another defining feature of Cosmic Eclipse is the introduction of Character Rare cards, sometimes referred to by collectors as the Trainer Gallery of the Sun & Moon era. These cards feature full-art illustrations showing Pokémon alongside their Trainers in beautifully detailed scenes. Examples include Pikachu with Red and Weezing with Koga, which quickly became fan favourites.

Cosmic Eclipse also includes several powerful Tag Team GX cards, including the highly sought-after Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX, often abbreviated by players as ADP. This card became extremely influential in the competitive meta due to its powerful GX attack.

Because of its massive card list, iconic Pokémon and beautiful Character Rare cards, Cosmic Eclipse is widely regarded as one of the most collectible sets of the entire Sun & Moon era.
