Roaring Skies

Roaring Skies is the sixth expansion in the XY era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and focuses heavily on Dragon-type Pokémon and powerful flying Pokémon. The set draws strong inspiration from the Hoenn region and the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire games.

The expansion prominently features Rayquaza, one of the most popular legendary Pokémon in the franchise. Rayquaza appears in several forms within the set, including Rayquaza-EX 60/108, M Rayquaza-EX 61/108, and the highly collectible Rayquaza-EX Full Art 104/108.

Roaring Skies also includes Mega Evolution Pokémon, continuing a core mechanic of the XY series. The powerful M Rayquaza-EX cards became extremely influential in competitive play due to their ability to deal massive damage.

Another defining card from the set is Shaymin-EX 77/108, which quickly became one of the most important competitive cards of the era thanks to its Set Up ability, allowing players to draw cards when it enters play.

The set also features Delta Mega Evolution mechanics, powerful Dragon-type Pokémon, and a variety of popular Pokémon such as Latios, Latias and Deoxys.

Because of the strength of its competitive cards and the popularity of Rayquaza, Roaring Skies became one of the most memorable sets from the XY generation.
