Team Up

Team Up is the ninth expansion of the Sun & Moon era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and introduces the powerful TAG TEAM GX mechanic, which became one of the defining features of the generation.

TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX cards feature two Pokémon on a single card, combining their strengths to create powerful attacks and abilities. These cards typically have very high HP and devastating attacks, but when they are Knocked Out the opponent takes three Prize cards, making them high-risk, high-reward cards.

The set features several iconic Pokémon pairings, including Pikachu & Zekrom, Eevee & Snorlax, Gengar & Mimikyu, and Latias & Latios. These combinations brought together popular Pokémon from different generations and created some of the most memorable card designs of the Sun & Moon era.

One of the most famous cards from the set is Latias & Latios-GX Alternate Art 170/181, which features a stunning full-art illustration of the legendary duo flying together through a colourful sky. This card quickly became one of the most desirable alternate art cards of the era.

Another notable card is Pikachu & Zekrom-GX Full Art 162/181, which became a powerful competitive card and helped define the early TAG TEAM meta.

Because of the introduction of the TAG TEAM mechanic and the inclusion of several fan-favourite Pokémon pairings, Team Up remains one of the most popular sets from the Sun & Moon generation.
